Skymira LLC, Milford, Conn., a global wireless communication
solution provider, has launched Sky Fax, a new digital fax service. Sky
Fax(SM) is poised to do for faxing what cell phones have done for
telephone communication: afford the convenience of anywhere fax access
and capability. Sky Fax(SM) complements Skymira's existing wireless
value added services, which include email, short messaging, Adobe PDF
forms service and GPS fleet tracking.
Unlike traditional analog faxing where access to a landline phone
is necessary, Sky Fax(SM) enables the sending and receiving of faxes
through any Internet connection, including satellite, cellular and WiFi.
Sky~Fax's digital fax service should not be confused with
generic email-to-fax services. While those types of faxing services
require knowledge of document scanning and email attaching, Sky Fax(SM)
enables faxing the old-fashioned way. With the simplicity of traditional
"dial the phone number then hit the send button," Sky Fax(SM)
is surprisingly user-friendly despite its space-age technology.
Spokesperson, Bob Landsfield, stated, "Since our inception,
we've received dozens of requests for a reliable, easy-to-use fax
service. We're eagerly looking forward to accommodating those
requests."
As if its anywhere convenience and ease-of-use weren't enough,
Sky Fax(SM) also contains built-in "Store and Forward"
capability. What this means for people on-the-go, who often find
themselves in areas of spotty cellular coverage, is Sky Fax(SM) will
store their faxes for later sending. Once the cellular signal improves
to a functional level, Sky Fax(SM) will then automatically connect to
the network and send the waiting fax. At the same time, it will check
for any inbound faxes that might be wating. With prices ranging from as
little as $0.10 per page and redials eliminated, Sky Fax(SM) enables the
user to send it and forget it.
