Synchronous motors.

Designfax • August, 2005 • Motion Spotlight: Motors & Drives

The XCE series of hazardous-duty synchronous motors satisfy ATEX standards for explosive atmospheres per CE 94/9/EC. The flameproof enclosure and max surface temperature of 100[degrees]C suits them for hydrogen and acetylene applications. These high pole count motors naturally turn at slow speeds (72 rpm at 60 Hz, 60 rpm at 50 Hz). Torque ratings are up to 1500 oz-in, on 120 or 240 VAC input.
