Gelnovatch named managing partner of Berenfeld, Spritzer, Shechter & Sheer, CPAs.

Walter "Butch" Gelnovatch was named managing partner of Berenfeld, Spritzer, Shechter & Sheer (BSS & S), a South Florida accounting firm. Gelnovatch succeeds previous managing partner, Carl Margenau, who recently retired. Gelnovatch joined the firm recemtly in anticipation of Margenau's retirement and was installed on January 1.

Previously, Gelnovatch was chief operating officer of Rachlin Cohen & Holtz, LLP, one of Florida's largest accounting firms. He also headed the firm's Corporate Risk Management Group. Gelnovatch comes from a big-firm background, having worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, where he focused on operational strategy, organizational redesign and business process reengineering.
