Paul Farber is this year's recipient of the Arthur J. Dixon Memorial Award, the highest award given by the accounting profession in the area of taxation. The award, given by the Tax Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), was presented at the AICPA's National Conference on Federal Taxes in Washington, DC.
Farber, a CPA and an attorney, is a retired partner of Ernst & Young, where he practiced for more than 43 years, primarily in the international tax area. Following his retirement from Ernst & Young, he undertook a second career as a principal with Eisner LLP, continuing his work with international taxation.
The Kansas firm of Lewis, Hooper & Dick, LLC, is a 2004 recipient of the Public Service Award from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The annual award recognizes members of the AICPA who have made significant contributions to their communities. The award was presented at the spring meeting of the Institute's governing Council in Washington, DC.
