THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND PUBLIC WORKS OF URUGUAY has approved
a US$254 million private investment in a port and real estate complex in
Punta del Este, including a recreation-oriented port with 700 moorings
and a pier for cruise ships, a five-star hotel with casino, shopping and
an apartment complex.
