R&M Consultants.(Right Moves)


R&M Consultants Inc. announced that founding partner James W. Rooney, P.E., has retired as president of R&M. His work included participating in the initial geotechnical studies and route selection for the transAlaska oil pipeline system and in the design of the first 55-mile haul-road segment; geotechnical field studies and design of support facilities for the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project; and the reconstruction of MP 54.8 to MP 59.3 of the Seward Highway, including the award-winning Canyon Creek Bridge. Rooney will continue to serve as a special geotechnical consultant on R&M projects.

After serving as a member of R&M's management team in the role of chief operating and financial officer since October 2002, Robert Bret Coburn has been appointed president and CEO. Coburn's professional experience includes 25 years of involvement in engineering, land development, construction and finance. Prior to joining R&M, he was employed by the St. George Tanaq Corp.

R&M has hired Sandra Dooley as a right-of-way agent in the Right-of-Way Services Department. Dooley has eight years of right-of-way experience in Alaska, working as an acquisition assistant, acquisition agent and relocation agent.
