Maxent, a leading provider of value-priced flat-panel display
solutions for consumers, has announced the expansion of its line of
feature-rich flat panel digital televisions with the addition of the 22-
and 32-inch WXGA LCD TV/DVD combination televisions (ML-2251HLT,
ML-3251HLT) at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Delivering
value and performance to the price-sensitive consumer market, these
full-featured, widescreen HDTV-ready LCD TV/DVD combination displays
combine a high-performance LCD television with a full-function DVD
player and incorporate bottom-mounted speakers into a single, compact,
ultra-sleek all-in-one portable video entertainment solution.
Value-priced at $899 and $1,099 both the ML-2251HLT and the
ML-3251HLT boast physical native resolutions of 1366 x 768 pixels and
incorporates 4H filters, provides 3:2 and 2:2 pull-down, adaptive motion
de-interlacing, variable aspect ratio and an IIS(tm) (Intelligent Image
Scaling) Engine to provide outstanding video quality and edge smoothing.
The value-packed ML-2251HLT and ML-3251HLT widescreen LCD TV/DVD combo
televisions feature standard NTSC and ATSC tuners, infrared pass
through, image shift burn-in protection, advanced audio processing, and
a wide variety of connectivity options including HDMI
picture-in-picture, RGB input, composite AV/S-video, dual HD component
video input, discrete audio inputs, and advanced black level extension.
The DVD player plays multiple digital media arrangements and supported
disc types include but are not limited to CD/R, CD/RW and DVD-R/DVD-RW.
"The adoption rates of compact flat panel televisions have
grown exponentially in the mainstream consumer market and consumers are
beginning to look toward the next step in technology advancement - the
convergence of complementary technologies into more compact,
all-inclusive solutions," explained Brian Ballard, vice president
of Maxent. "Our new ML-2251HLT and ML-3252HLT TV/DVD combinations
address the desire of our customers to have a complete, portable video
solution that can be used to bring video entertainment into places that
are too small for traditional video entertainment systems such as in
dorm rooms and bedrooms, and even to locations such as kitchen and
bathroom counter tops. The combination of the robust feature set,
outstanding video performance and budget-friendly pricing allow
consumers to enjoy alternative and contemporary HDTV solutions. As we
push forward we will continue to provide enhanced picture quality, drive
into new regions of esthetic design and add larger screen sizes to
provide our consumers with a wide variety of flat-panel options to
customize their home theaters."
