We close the 2005 subscription year with thanks to authors,
reviewers, editorial board members, production and marketing team
members, subscribers and pay-per-view customers who have contributed to
the continuing success of the journal. While 4 issues totalling 400
pages were announced for volume 7 (2005), 488 pages have been published.
In 2006, 500 pages have been announced in 5 issues (3 regular and 2
special) for volume 8.
In 2005, Innovation: Management, Policy & Practice volumes 4-7
were loaded onto extenza-eps.com. In 2006, volumes 1-3 of the journal
will be loaded onto extenza-eps.com. With increasing quality and spread
of feature articles, research reports and case studies--and exposure to
broader markets through Infomediaries such as EBSCO-EJS, SwetsWise and
eBooks Corporation--many individual articles have been accessed by
global customers. We are delighted with the uptake of online
subscriptions to the journal in Taiwan, Canada, the UK, France, New
Zealand and Australia, and also welcome new print subscribers in those
countries, South America, India and East Asia. Debate continues on
whether online content aggregation promotes or erodes print
subscriptions. In 2006, journal issues will be aggregated into EBSCO
Publishing's online service to test this against the journal's
subscription profile in the USA.
In 2005, awareness of Innovation: Management Policy & Practice
has also been raised through building publishing relationships with
Globelics, DRUID, ASEAT, ALTEC and ISPIM. This will continue with
further publishing and marketing projects in 2006. The journal has also
been building relationships with management schools in China and India
through selective donation of special issues and back sets to libraries.
Prizes have been offered at ANZAM 2005. Free conference listings,
abstracts, policy debates, literature reviews and book reviews on
www.innovation-enterprise.com continue to attract high levels of
'visits' by global browsers. This will be increased in 2006
through denser cross linking with strategic partners.
Special issues remain an important component of our publishing
strategy. Drawn to its Case Studies, a number of corporate
sustainability courses in the UK and Australia have adopted volume 6/2
(2004) Corporate Sustainability: Governance, Innovation Strategy,
Development and Methods (ISBN 0-9750436-2-5) as a Reader. In 2005 the
journal published special issues on Biotechnology &
Telecommunications Innovation and Innovation and Economic Development:
Lessons from Latin America.
In early 2006, we continue this strategy with a double issue
Innovation in China: Building an Economic Superpower (ISBN
0-9757422-4-8) edited by Shulin Gu (Tsinghua University) and Mark
Dodgson (UQ Business School) as part of volume 8. Readers are invited to
approach the Editor in Chief with proposals for special issue topics.
We are grateful for your continued support and encourage you to
ensure that your subscription is soon renewed for volume 8 (2006).
