The FDA granted orphan drug approval to Zolinza (vorinostat) capsules for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, to be used when the disease persists, worsens, or recurs during or after treatment with other medicines. The drug is manufactured by Pantheon, Inc., Ontario, Canada for Merck & Co., Inc., (Whitehouse Station, NJ).
