The FDA announced final approval of Detroit-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories' ANDA for baclofen tablets, 10 and 20 mg. The drug is a muscle relaxant and antispastic, and the manufacturer claims it can alleviate signs and symptoms of spasticity (including flexor spasms and concomitant pain, clonus, and muscular rigidity) resulting from multiple sclerosis. Caraco plans to launch the product immediately.
