Merck & Co., Inc. (Whitehouse Station, NJ) will launch a
worldwide access program regarding MK-0518, currently in phase 3
development, for patients with human immunodeficiency virus
(HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome who have limited or no
treatment options available to them. This is the third expanded access
program the company has initiated for investigational HIV treatments.
