Mushroom News publishes a series of peer reviewed scientific
articles entitled, "Science and Technology" which deals with
all aspects of adaptive and basic research on edible mushrooms. Papers
to be published in this category are reviewed for scope, merit,
originality and style by a panel of scientists knowledgeable in the
discipline. Only those research papers judged to be of the highest
quality and scientific merit will be accepted for publication.

Since the inception of the series in January 1996, 17 papers have
been reviewed. Researchers from Argentina, Canada, England and the
United States have published works on topics that range from pest
control to spent mushroom substrate (SMS) disposal.
We hope the original papers presented in the Science and Technology
series help scientists working in the field share information and help
growers improve production techniques.
