How do American views of retirement differ from that of their
international counterparts? Consider:
* Europeans, Asians and Latin Americans think men should retire
around the age of 60 and women 56; Americans say 65 for men and 63 for
women.
* 16% of Americans think the government should bear most of the
cost to support individuals in retirement; 30% of international
respondents feel the same.
* 6% of U.S. residents said it's the responsibility of the
family to financially support an individual in retirement, compared with
20% of people in other countries.
