Dickinson Wright announced that it is broadening its intellectual property practice through a combination with Southfield-based intellectual property firm Artz & Artz. The combination with Artz & Artz will add nine registered patent attorneys to Dickinson Wright's IP practice, bringing the total count to 34 practitioners. Dickinson Wright is also one of the only law firms nationally with its own "IP Academy," where practicing attorneys train law students with technical and engineering school undergraduate degrees to become intellectual property lawyers.
