Network-based time recording solution.

Database and Network Journal • August, 2007 • IT News and Products

SCM Microsystems, Inc has introduced a new network-based version of its Chipdriver Time Recording solution that allows small and medium-sized enterprises to record and review the current working hours of their employees in real time. It also includes forgery-proof smart cards for up to 25 employees. These are used as time cards and can be personalised for each employee. Also included is the terminal, which serves as a time clock and connects with the local area network to transfer all clocking data directly to the server.

The terminal can be installed on the wall or can be used as a tabletop device with an optional stand. Additional smart card readers can also be added to enable employees to clock in and out from their own desks or work areas. Data can also be transmitted from home offices to the central server via the Internet.

The software ensures that clocking data such as project times, holidays or work absences and special settlements can be quickly and easily analysed and the information is readily available right when needed.
