Multi-layered defence for existing corporate networks.

Stonesoft Corporation has extended its StoneGate Secure Connectivity Solution with a new module. The module unifies IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) and Firewall functionalities, providing attack prevention and transparent firewall access control without the need to change existing network configurations.

StoneGate IPS detects and stops network traffic abuse and stops attacks before any damage occurs. IPS transparent access control is ah additional module to StoneGate IPS, product providing unconditional security to existing networks. The new module further extends traditional IPS inspection functionality by allowing company networks to be segmented into different security zones, providing full access control for all Ethernet traffic. Contrary to traditional firewalls, this segmentation of the network through access control does not require any changes to existing network configurations.
