ASIAINFO TO OPTIMIZE ZHEJIANG MOBILES'S BUSINESS.

Worldwide Telecom • Sept 1, 2007 •

AsiaInfo Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASIA) , a leading provider of telecom software solutions and IT security products and services, today announced it has signed a contract with Zhejiang Mobile, a major subsidiary of China Mobile, to optimize its Business Operation Support System (BOSS) to support a rapidly growing subscriber base.

AsiaInfo deployed the existing BOSS system at Zhejiang Mobile in 2002 to support 10 million subscribers. In the five years since then, Zhejiang Mobile's subscriber base has more than tripled to approximately 34 million subscribers and its BOSS system is currently the single largest in China and the second largest in the world. Under the agreement, AsiaInfo will restructure and optimize the BOSS system to allow Zhejiang Mobile to continue to rapidly expand its subscriber base. The complex optimization project will be implemented without interruption to ongoing operations or subscriber data.

"The ability of our world-class BOSS solution to support 34 million subscribers is a testament to the quality of our telecom software design expertise and system reliability," said Steve Zhang, president and CEO of AsiaInfo. "This highly complex system expansion and optimization also clearly demonstrates AsiaInfo's market leading ability to deliver telecom solutions that support the ongoing evolution of China's telecom operators."
