QATAR - Bunkering Business.
Sharjah-based Maritime Industrial Services Co. (MIS) in April 2005
began work on the Ras Laffan heavy fuel oil bunkering facility under a
$60m EPIC contract. This centred on construction of two storage tanks,
loading arms at LNG berths 1 and 2 and associated pipeline works. The
FEED was done in-house by QP. The bunkering facility was to serve LNG
vessels calling at Ras Laffan.
