The chemical and physical sciences department of the University of
Toronto at Mississauga has honoured Judith Poe, FCIC, with a
President's Teaching Award. Poe is a senior lecturer in chemistry
and she uses today's technology to enhance communication with
students. She designed a virtual office system allowing students to
submit questions, and she posts both questions and answers to her Web
site for all students to view. Poe has also received a 3M National
Teaching Award.
