Steganos launches Safe 2008.
Steganos has launched Steganos Safe 2008 enabling users to encrypt
their data so that it cannot be accessed by anyone else, even if the
storage medium it is stored on is lost or stolen.
Steganos Safe 2008 has been optimized for use on Microsoft Vista
and introduces encryption for Outlook Express and Windows Mail, in
addition to protecting the standard edition of Outlook and any
user-selected data files. Users can create any number of encrypted safes
to store sensitive data, each one with a capacity of up to 256 GB. This
latest release of Steganos Safe enables users to configure the password
entry field for a safe to open automatically when the computer is
started.
Steganos Safe 2008 key features includes: Unlimited number of
safes. Any number of secure drives can be created with Steganos Safe
2008, each with up to 256 GB capacity. Steganos Safe 2008 uses
encryption algorithm: Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 256 bit.
Steganos Outlook Safe protects emails, calendar notes, tasks, notes,
email postboxes and the user's all-important contacts. All Outlook
data can be locked in an encrypted file and protected by password. Even
if the PC is lost or stolen, the user's personal communications,
plans and contacts are secure.
Steganos Portable Safe creates encrypted data archives on CD, DVD,
memory card, USB key, iPod and DVD-DL.
Steganos Shredder includes a data and deep cleaner shredder. Three
methods are available for data destruction.
