The Professional Business Development Institute (PBDI; Tucson,
AZ/St. Charles, IL), an online seminar and newsletter publisher covering
best practices in business development and marketing in the fields of
law, accounting, engineering, architecture, among others, has launched
"Originate! The Attorney Business Development Advisor," a
monthly electronic newsletter that is written for "attorneys who
are serious about growing their practice and becoming more proficient at
business development." An annual subscription costs $397.
PBDI said the newsletter carries strategies, tactics and best
methods on how to obtain clients, sell work and strengthen
relationships. The September issue includes articles on topics such as:
shifts in marketing attitudes; rating personal performances; generating
leads; gaining from mergers and acquisitions; turning associates into
rainmakers; cross-marketing; gender marketing; and, new technologies.
Subscribers also have access to personal coaching via email,
ongoing training through monthly Web seminars, white papers, and,
beginning in 2008, access to a chat board for subscribing attorneys.
