Results include an 8-foot intersection grading .9 ounces of gold per ton of rock and a 5.5-foot section grading .665 ounces of gold per ton of rock.
Drill holes completed in 2005 and 2006 indicate up to seven different layers or veins of gold mineralization at the Ben and Fish prospects, with the highest grade exceeding 4.5 ounces of gold per ton of rock over a 3.5-foot interval.
International Tower also holds BMP (Base Metals Prospect), staked in 2006, located about 40 miles north of Terra. Work at BMP this year included initial steam silt surveys and ground follow-up work on known base metal and gold-silver occurrences.
Earlier this summer, International Tower signed a letter of intent with Hidefield Gold Plc., and Mines Trust Ltd., to earn up to an 80 percent interest in the South Estelle property, located about 20 miles east of Terra. The 168 state mining claims in the South Estelle property have produced rock samples exceeding .321 ounces of gold per ton of rock.
Other projects International Tower worked on this summer include Coffee Dome, located about 9 miles northeast of the Fort Knox gold mine near Fairbanks, and the West Tanana property, optioned from Doyon Ltd. and drilled for the first time this summer.
Results released in September confirm the presence at West Tanana of significant lode gold mineralization beneath the original large soil anomaly and the presence of high-grade quartz veins, the company said. Drill results include a 4-inch quartz vein containing visible gold in quartz within a 1-foot interval, assaying a half ounce of gold per ton of rock. A broader breccia zone assayed .08 ounces of gold per ton of rock over 14 feet.
