CSA Community Citizen Award.(Right Moves)(Certified Senior Advisors)(Senior Care of Alaska )(Brief article)

Kevin Turkington of Senior Care of Alaska was chosen to receive this year's Society of Certified Senior Advisors Community Citizen Award. Turkington was nominated by Dr. Ray Clements, executive director of the Older Persons Action Group Inc., of which Turkington is the president of the board of directors. Two of the main projects of OPAG are the publication of the Senior Voice newspaper, in circulation for more than 27 years, and the UAA-accredited Personal Care Attendant and Certified Nursing Aide training and certification they provide. Turkington received the award during the 2007 CSA International Summit in Las Vegas. The service to seniors awards program recognizes and honors senior advisors for their passion, commitment, caring and can-do attitude in volunteering for seniors. Three awards are given: CSA Trailblazer, CSA Community Citizen and CSA Samaritan.
