Weekly UpdatesDiane Kaplan, president and chief executive of the Rasmuson Foundation, was chosen Distinguished Grantmaker of the Year by the Council on Foundations of Washington, D.C. The award is the highest honor bestowed annually by the Council on Foundations, a nonprofit organization of about 2,000 grantmaking foundations and philanthropic corporations. Kaplan received the award April 30 during the group's annual meeting in Seattle. She started at the Rasmuson Foundation as administrator in 1995 and was appointed president and chief executive in 2001.
