Weekly UpdatesAlaska Air Group, parent company of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air, appointed Megan Lawrence as managing director of government and community relations at its Seattle headquarters. Lawrence has served as the company's Washington, D.C.-based director of government affairs since 2005. She is an attorney who once worked for a Seattle law firm and as a staff member for former U.S. Rep. George Nethercutt and U.S. Sen. Slade Gorton.
