The food industry news service Flexnews reports that Frigor, Nestle's ice cream subsidiary in Argentina plans to open more parlors, offer new products, and increase its advertising spending during the next fiscal year.

* The food industry news service Flexnews reports that Frigor, Nestle's ice cream subsidiary in Argentina plans to open more parlors, offer new products, and increase its advertising spending during the next fiscal year. Frigor is currently the market leader for packaged ice cream in Argentina. Its market share, according to company estimates, amounts to about 54%. In a statement sent to Flexnews, the firm said it will invest 25 million pesos ($8 million) to build freezers and boost product advertising. Frigor has experienced double digit growth in both its domestic retail and wholesale operations in 2007. The company is also a leading exporter to other Latin American countries including Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
