BAN International (London) has published "Taxation and
Valuation of Intellectual Property," a new report that examines the
role of intellectual property rights in global business, including the
licensing and selling of IP rights. The report focuses on interrelated
topics of the taxation and valuation of IP assets with the Taxation
section carrying an overview of IP considerations and information on
managing IP offshore. The section also discusses transfer pricing and
IP, with articles on specific developments in Belgium, the U.S. and
India, as well as the pharmaceutical industry, and R & D tax
incentives. The section on Valuation of IP includes analysis of
methodologies for identifying value in different situations, including
valuation of IP rights, goodwill, technology, R & D, trademarks,
