The Practicing Law Institute (PLI; New York) has published
"Corporate Whistleblowing in the Sarbanes-Oxley Era," a
loose-leaf volume that offers the legal, litigation and compliance
information needed to help employers minimize the risk and damage of
retaliation claims, PLI said. It includes more than 400 pages of sample
forms, official documents, and excerpts of SOX and related whistleblower
standards with relevant SOX provisions, related federal whistleblower
laws, and state whistleblower statutes and court decisions. Content
includes information on: preventative steps to guard against
whistleblower suits; investigations into whistleblower claims; dealing
with retaliation cases and other employer defenses; lessening and/or
limiting the damages caused by claims; developing media strategies to
deal with retaliation actions; and, appealing adverse decisions. Update
annually or as needed, the volume costs $225.
