Opalis expands automation.
Opalis Software, Inc. have announced the immediate availability of
new Integration Packs for its award-wining Opalis Integration Server
technology for BladeLogic, BMC, CA, and IBM, extending its wide breadth
of enterprise support of systems management tools from these IT software
providers. Specifically, the new integration packs support BladeLogic
Operations Manager, BMC Event Manager, CA Unicenter NSM, and IBM Tivoli
Netcool/OMNIbus and will enable customers to easily build process
automation solutions across heterogeneous IT environments at any scale.
The software delivers automation through innovative orchestration
and integration of IT processes, thereby reducing the manual repetitive
efforts that are burdensome and wasteful for IT organisations, yet which
must be done to ensure efficient enterprise business operations.
Problem and incident triage often involves ad hoc phone calls,
manual analysis, and data re-entry. Users can automate diagnostics
routines, corrective actions, and data transfer to help desk
systems--and realise the benefits of a self-healing data center. The
Integration Packs provide a graphical user interface for filtering
alerts in the monitoring system and auto-generating pre-populated
trouble tickets in service management tools. Escalation processes can be
automated, and data shared and synchronised with other third-party
system monitors, freeing staff to focus on more strategic projects.
