AgileJ, the developer of agile software assistive technologies have
announced the launch of "AgileJ StructureViews", a class
diagram generator unapologetically dedicated to Java, Eclipse and agile
methods:
Java, because it matters to Java programmers that language-specific
constructs can be visualized; Eclipse, because Eclipse has a wealth of
project information which can be tapped into; and Agile, because agile
methodologies demand a tool which gives programmers a grasp of code
structure, but then gets out of the way quickly to let coding continue.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AgileJ Limited Mr Paul Wells
said: "Our top priority is to satisfy the needs of ordinary
programmers who need a better overview of what they are working on.
There's no space on an agile project for a modeling tool that wants
to run the show, so our product provides insight where it is needed, but
then steps away as coding resumes. People like code--code is going to be
around for a long time.
But sometimes it is helpful to get another angle--a graphical view,
and that's basically what we provide. The code has to be the master
copy of the model at all times, it's the only version you can
trust. AgileJ StructureViews is the only modelling tool to award the
code this status."
