PLYmedia (http://www.plymedia.com), a service provider that gives
broadcast and video publishers the applications to create professional
and user-generated interactive content layers has partnered with JibJab
Media, a popular digital comedy network, to provide multi-lingual
subtitles on its third annual year-in-review video recap entitled
"In 2007," based on Billy Joel's "We Didn't
Start the Fire." SubPLY gives audiences throughout the world the
opportunity to understand the lyrics on "In 2007" and have a
more enriched and enjoyable viewing experience. The video can be found

"Our company is founded on the belief that there should be no
limits to the ways that consumers view and interact with video
content," said Ben Enosh, CEO and co-founder, PLYmedia. "We
remain focused on giving companies like JibJab the applications to add a
new layer of viewing experience for their audience."
Since its launch in early 2006, PLYmedia has developed a suite of
applications designed to make the video-viewing experience interactive.
PLYmedia's current suite of products and services enables the
creation and viewing of professional or user-generated commentary,
multilingual subtitles, hyper-video and in-video advertising.
"JibJab has a large international audience but, as a small
company, it's been hard to service it," said Gregg
Spiridellis, co-founder, JibJab. "PLYmedia gives us the ability to
grow our audience oversees by offering audiences everywhere subtitles so
they can understand our lyrics and more fully enjoy our
programming."
With subPLY, video publishers can seamlessly and easily add as many
different subtitle languages as they choose, such as English, Spanish,
German, French, Portuguese and Japanese. Other JibJab content featuring
subPLY subtitles include select videos in the "Originals"
collection: http://www.jibjab.com/originals/this_land.
PLYmedia offers other applications that give users and video
publishers the ability to easily overlay videos with text that is
interactive, hyperlinked and editable, to add deeper context and meaning
to content that has already been created.
"Businesses worldwide are rapidly adopting video as a low cost
means to communicate to a broad audience, and we feel that language
should not be a barrier to getting the message through, whether
it's for videos produced by JibJab, or a video from a Fortune 500
company," said Enosh. "As this shift occurs, we will continue
to drive the adoption of a wide range of PLY products that video
publishers and broadcasters can use to better connect to their own
growing global audiences."
