* In England, the regional news service Archant reports that another venerable ice cream firm has gone under. Dairyland Ices, a Norfolk firm which has been producing ice cream for more than 60 years has closed its doors. The company operated at the low end of the market selling directly to the public through ice cream vans as well as in supermarkets. The company has been a frequent award winner, most recently earning a bronze award in the 2002 National Ice Cream competition for its mint choc chip ice cream.
