Low-impact cork flooring.
Cork Innovations has a selection of attractive, thick, low-impact
cork tiles from a variety of manufacturers. Because 90% of its tissue
consists of gaseous matter that creates its shock-absorbing properties,
cork flooring benefits people with arthritis, chronic pain, and knee or
back injuries, or those who stand for long periods of time. When cork
floors are subject to pressure, the gas in the cells is compressed and
volume reduces. When released, a cork floor rapidly recovers its
original shape.
