Each year, CalCPA recognizes those members who go above and beyond
the call of duty by awarding the Public Service Award and Distinguished
Service Award.
The Public Service Award recognizes a member for notable works done
outside of the office for voluntary community improvement or the
assistance of the less fortunate.
The Distinguished Service Award is granted either on the basis of
long and distinguished service or for some singular act resulting in
extraordinary contribution to the profession, CalCPA or the community.
The award is intended to inspire others to similar achievements and to
make the public aware of the profession's vital contribution to
society.

qualifications and download an nomination form--available at
www.calcpa.org/Content/ServiceAwards.aspx--and submit it by Jan. 31. We
won't know unless you tell us.
CalCPA also has the new Public Service Award for Firms, which
recognizes firms for their public service contributions on the local,
state or national level. The award intends to encourage more CPA firms
to initiate or increase their community activities, publicize these
activities and reinforce the profession's reputation for commitment
to the public good. Nominations are due Jan. 31 and applications are
available at www.calcpa.org/Content/ServiceAwards.aspx.
