Guitar/bass protection better than a stand: GrabAxe.

Music Trades • Jan, 2008 • PRODUCTS: THE LATEST AND GREATEST IN NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS

HAVE YOU EVER leaned your axe against your amp? Ever had it crash to the floor? Ever left your guitar stand at home, by mistake, or because it's just too much of a hassle to pack and carry? Wish you could keep your axe safe, secure, and convenient?

GrabAxe has you covered. Paul Csengeri and Mick Linden, two gigging musicians who have faced all these frustrations, have invented a pocketsize, super-secure solution that works like a seat belt for guitars and basses.

The ingeniously simple and effective GrabAxe (patent pending) attaches to the amp handle and hugs the guitar's neck snug to the amp. Made of durable nylon webbing with a quick-release closure, it can replace guitar stands or work in conjunction with them, and it requires no modifications to any equipment.

"Many working guitarists and bass players don't want to lug around their guitar stands, which are clumsy and don't pack well," commented Csengeri. "They also gobble up precious floor space on stages and at rehearsals."

"Hard cases work," added Linden, "but most places don't have room for a bunch of guitar cases lying around to store instruments while the musicians take a break. And then there's the inconvenience of having to retrieve the instrument from the storage area several times a night. So instead players tend to just lean their axes against their amps--and hope they don't get knocked over."

"It's a nervous way to live," Csengeri continued. "Even most stands aren't totally secure; the axe may be secure in the stand, but it doesn't take much for someone to accidentally knock over the guitar and the stand. Nearly everyone has seen those heartbreaking crashes as a beautiful guitar or bass goes down with a sickening 'thunk.' GrabAxe eliminates all those ugly scenarios simply and very affordably."
