ARIZONA HEART INNOVATIVE SELLS ENDOVASCULAR DEVICE.

Arizona Heart Innovative Technologies, LLC (AHIT), Phoenix, Ariz., has announced the sale of a proprietary medical device for endovascular use to a publicly traded medical device company. "This is a proud moment for our company as we have now demonstrated our ability to bridge the gap between good ideas from the medical community to commercially viable products for medical device companies. We are in effect serving as a cost-effective supplementary research and development resource for companies," said AHIT President Bill Colone. "We currently have several products in the development process that we are continuing to discuss with the appropriate device companies." AHIT licensed the endovascular product in October of 2006 from Venkatesh Ramaiah, MD, a cardiovascular surgeon, and Robert McNutt, a radiology technician, both of the Arizona Heart Hospital. The product was prototyped and tested within ninety days of signing the license agreement and marketed to multiple medical companies immediately following positive test results.
