LUDWIG IN-GAME DRUMS and a pair of Ludwig-brand drum sticks are
featured in "Rock Band," the hotly anticipated video game from
Harmonix Music Systems and MTV. With 58 tracks from five decades, the
game allows drummers, along with guitar and vocal tracks, to play along
with the greats of punk, metal, classic rock, and everything in between.
A variety of Rock Band in-game drum outfits are modeled after legendary
Ludwig models including Vistalite, Stainless, and Glitter sets, some of
the most enduring and iconic models in the world. A pair of
Ludwig-branded sticks will also be included with each game.
"This is more than a branding opportunity," said Jim
Catalano, director of marketing for Ludwig. "Drum players will be
learning actual drum patterns when they play the game. Once they
experience Rock Band drumming, their next natural step is to check out
the latest in Ludwig drums and accessories."
Rock Band will allow players to play solo or recruit bandmates and
jam side-by-side or virtually online, playing music from the greatest
rock artists of all time.
The title was released on PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment
system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft
in time for the 2007 holiday shopping season.
