IN A RECENT SURVEY of the U.K.'s leading major and independent m.i. retailers, Tanglewood Guitar Company U.K. earned the ranking of #1 selling acoustic guitar brand in the under 500 [pounds sterling] ($1,000 USD) category and #5 in the over 500 [pounds sterling] category. This confirms that Tanglewood Guitar Co. U.K. instruments outsell some tough competition overseas.

"The m.i.-Pro survey result only further validates what we knew when we intro duced this brand to North America: that Tanglewood Guitar Company U.K. is ready and fully capable of competing with the 'big guys,'" affirmed Jeff Sazant, vice president Musical Instrument Division at Musiquip, Tanglewood's distributor in the U.S. "What we're most proud of is that it was the music retailers themselves who identified Tanglewood Guitar Co. U.K. as the top brand. That kind of endorsement is invaluable. And what U.K. retailers see in these guitars, North American retailers will see as well."

Now set for a large-scale North American introduction, a "new" Tanglewood Guitar Co. U.K. will be unveiled at winter NAMM. "This isn't our first time at NAMM, but the brand has undergone some major changes since we last attended," says Sazant. "We have two new series of guitars, a new logo, and new marketing initiatives set to be rolled out in 2008. We're excited to give the brand the exposure it deserves."

Tanglewood Guitar Co. U.K.'s NAMM exhibition will largely focus on two new series of guitars: the stunning high-end, all-solid-wood Heritage series guitars and the impressive entry-level Evolution series. The two new series of guitars reflect a blend between time-honored design philosophies and modern manufacturing methodologies. "We're confident that the tremendous success that this brand has enjoyed in the U.K. will be replicated in the U.S. and Canada," says Sazant.
