INTRODUCTIONS
WAVEMACHINE LABS, makers of the industry-standard drum replacer
plug-in Drumagog, will be demonstrating its product at NAMM in a very
unusual way. "We're so confident in Drumagog replacement
technology, that we've brought out the kitchen sink to prove
it," says President Rim Buntinas. WaveMachine Labs built a drum kit
completely out of pots and pans, wired it up with microphones, and will
be running it through Drumagog in real time. The banging and clanging is
instantly converted into real bass drum, snare, and cymbal sounds.

Drumagog is a real-time drum replacer plug-in, used to replace or
enhance previously recorded audio drum tracks in popular audio software
such as Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, and Digital Performer. It works as an
audio insert, automatically replacing the original drum hits with new
samples. Because Drumagog works in real time, it's also possible to
replace live instruments. Buntinas adds, "It really doesn't
matter what your original source is, whether it's a snare drum or a
frying pan. Drumagog will replace it and make it sound beautiful."
Drumagog comes with a 4GB sample library and allows the user to add his
own.
