ALFRED PUBLISHING is adding to its already broad catalog with the introduction of dozens of new titles at the NAMM show in Anaheim. The new titles address both pop and educational segments with slickly produced new products. Highlights include:

Sittn' In With the Big Band: Jazz Ensemble Play-Along is written at the easy to medium-easy level. It provides students with an opportunity to play along with a professional jazz ensemble and improve their playing. Playing along with and listening to the outstanding players in the band, sharpens blending skills, style, phrasing, tone, dynamics, technique, and playing in time. The title includes a variety of of Latin, swing, ballad and rock styles. Performance tips and suggestions are included in each book.

For aspiring and professional singers who love Broadway, Alfred's Singer's Library of Musical Theatre presents an elegant collection of the best-loved musical theatre songs in their original keys, authentically transcribed from their original vocal scores. Perfect for study, and equally suitable for the most important auditions and performances, each volume is dedicated to a specific vocal range and contains dozens of songs from a variety of shows that span decades of theatre history.

Alfred's Singer's Library of Musical Theatre: Volume 1 and Volume 2 are now available in a Soprano Voice edition, a Mezzo-Soprano/Alto Voice edition, a Tenor Voice edition, and a Baritone/Bass Voice edition for $19.95 each.

Alfred is releasing a newly-revised version of its Basic Guitar Method. The new method features the same core discipline but now with 25% more instruction at the same low price. This series covers all the most popular music styles--rock, pop, jazz, country, and blues. With newly-designed pages, books are now easier to read, rendering them perfect for individual or classroom instruction. For bass players, Alfred's Basic Bass Method is now available as well.

Alfred's Basic Guitar Method is now an ideal choice for the beginning guitar student. Available as a book and CD set, or the book and CD can be purchased separately.

Alfred's revised edition of the legendary Suzuki method for violin contains new features such as new engravings in a convenient 9" x 12" format, new editing of pieces including bowings and fingerings, 16 additional pages, new exercises from Dr. Suzuki, plus additional insight and suggestions for teachers. An accompanying CD features new recordings by Bill Preucil Jr. and piano accompaniments recorded without the violin part.
