MID-EAST MANUFACTURING has long been know as a supplier of non-Western musical instruments. With the introduction of a new Fusion Sitar, which combines the size and tuning of a conventional guitar with the tonal quality of a traditional sitar, the company has been attracting a new, mainstream customer base. Mid-East has also drawn new customers with its flat-bodied ouds that deliver the Middle Eastern sound in a truly portable size. At NAMM booth #2814. Stephen Mikes will demonstrate the new Sitar and John Bilezikjian will showcase the new oud.
