The skyrocketing surge of musical activity in the United States since the end of World War II burst into the pages of Time magazine, with notable emphasis on the enormous participation of others. The article depicted fully the far-ranging and pervasive influence of music on post-war life in America. The Time article points out that rather than turning into passive receiving sets lulled asleep by waves of recorded music, Americans have turned to active participation in music with a vengeance.
