Armajaro establishes coffee sourcing business in Brazil.

Tea & Coffee Trade Journal • Feb, 2008 • Trade News

Armajaro, the global commodities group, will expand into Brazil with the establishment of a coffee sourcing and trading business.

Armajaro is a supplier of Robusta coffee from its operations in Vietnam, Indonesia and Cote d'Ivoire. Entry into the Brazilian market will enable Armajaro to extend its sourcing capabilities to cover Arabica coffee. Cesar Calmon, who was previously with the Volcafe/ED & F Man group, will manage the Brazilian business.

Richard Ryan, CEO of Armajaro Trading Limited, commented: "This is a natural and important evolutionary step for Armajaro's coffee business. As the world's largest coffee producer and exporter, Brazil is a key market. Our presence there will enhance our ability to service the requirements of our international coffee manufacturing and roaster clients." For more information, visit www.penrose.co.uk.
