GOLDSBORO -- The city and Wayne County each approved $100,000 of
incentives for AT & T, which is opening a broadband
technical-support call center. Plans called for the San Antonio,
Texas-based telecommunications company to begin operations this month
with 50 employees and expand to 350 by the end of the year.
