GREENSBORO -- RF Micro Devices, which makes power amplifiers for cell phones, plans to buy Filtronic Compound Semiconductors for about $24.8 million. The company, a subsidiary of United Kingdom-based Filtronic, is one of RF Micro's suppliers. The deal was expected to close by the end of the month.
