CHARLOTTE -- Saying that it wants to diversify, Lance purchased a
minority stake in Hyannis, Mass.-based Late July Snacks. Late July makes
organic versions of crackers, sandwich cookies and other snacks. Lance
also started making lower-fat versions of some of its snacks.
