Lufthansa

Lufthansa has no plans at this time to launch an all-business-class widebody service similar to that announced by Singapore Airlines, which will reconfigure A340-500s. The airline has a different market for such an operation, they could operate more all-C class A319s [currently wet-leased from PrivatAir], but so far no decision has been made. Lufthansa will make do with its "quick change" A340 business class cabin. The airline currently wet-leases two A319s and one BBJ from PrivatAir with an all-C class configuration. Mar 14, 2008

For China, the airline is introducing the first flights by a European carrier to Nanjing from Frankfurt and to Shenyang from Munich. Also, two new destinations in Africa, Malabo in Equatorial Guinea and Luanda in Angolaare, slated along with 28 new nonstop connections in Europe.
