DDS-based generator produces 20-MHz
waveforms.
The Model 4040DDS Sweep Function Generator uses direct digital
synthesis to generate 20-MHz sine and square waveforms and 2-MHz
triangle waveforms. It offers 10 Vpk-pk amplitude into 50 [ohm], AM and
FM modulation, linear or logarithmic sweeps, and adjustable DC offset of
[+ or -]4.5 V. A range of triggering capabilities includes
internal-external trigger source and gated modes of operation.
Adjustable symmetry allows the generator to produce a variety of pulse
waveforms, ramp or sawtooth waves, and skewed sine waves. Resolution is
10 mHz. A four-digit counter and coarse and fine tuning controls
facilitate setting of the output frequency.

The 4040DDS features a menu-driven front-panel interface that
includes a large graphical LCD. Waveform parameter changes and data
entry can be made using the front-panel rotary knob. B+K Precision,
