Small-footprint meter powered solely from USB
cable.
The 6-GHz NI USB-5680 Power Meter combines a sensor and an A/D
converter in one package occupying less than 9.6 in.[.sup.3] and
consuming 100-mA of current without an external power supply. It
connects directly to an available USB port on any PC or PXI controller.
The true rms power meter features a frequency range of 50 MHz to 6 GHz,
a dynamic range of 63 dB, and amplitude accuracy of [+ or -]0.18 dB.

To measure continuous wave RF signals up to 6 GHz, the USB-5680 can
be used in a stand-alone configuration with a VXIplug &
play-compatible executable soft front panel to facilitate interactive
control. To incorporate the USB-5680 in an automated test and
measurement system, an intuitive application programming interface can
be used with programming environments such as LabVIEW, LabWINDOWs/CVI,
and Microsoft .NET. National Instruments, www.rsleads.com/803ee-195
