Mid-range Spectrum Analyzers show live RF signals.

EE-Evaluation Engineering • March, 2008 • PRODUCT BRIEFING

The addition of DPX[TM] Waveform Image Processor technology to the RSA3408B Spectrum Analyzers and the mid-range RSA3000B Series provides a live RF view of the spectrum for a range of digital applications including RFID, radio communications, and spectrum management. DPX transforms real-time data and produces a live RF spectrum display showing previously unseen signals and signal anomalies.

The DPX technology displays >48,000 spectrum measurements/second by using dedicated, real-time hardware to process the incoming signal. In addition to live RF, the waveform image processor also provides an intensity-graded persistence display that holds anomalies until the eye can see them to show the history of occurrence for dynamic signals and immediate feedback on signal variations over time.

The RSA3300B Series is available with DC to 3-GHz or DC to 8-GHz frequency coverage, 15-MHz capture bandwidth, and 70-dB SFDR. The RSA3408B offers DC to 8-GHz frequency coverage, 36-MHz capture bandwidth, and 73-dB SFDR. Tektronix, www.rsleads.com/803ee-196
